Eastern Oregon University (EOU) has been designated Oregon’s Rural University. EOU is leading the pack in innovative programming and degree programs, including an Agricultural Entrepreneurship program. “Agriculture Entrepreneurs must rely upon planning and decision-making processes that coordinate and balance the social, economic and environmental demands on the natural resources of their community and region along with the unique challenges and issues in agriculture production and supply chains. Degree programs addressing this emerging field must operate in the nexus of business management, public policy, science and technology, and agriculture,” said Provost Sarah Witte.

La Grande is home to Eastern Oregon University (EOU). Recognized as Oregon’s Rural University, EOU is a public, four-year, regional institution of 3,500 students with nationally recognized programs both on campus and online. EOU is an active partner with community and economic development programs, connecting students, faculty and research with the business community.
